Martha Spak

Martha Spak is an award-winning artist and landscape photographer whose work is exhibited nationally and has appeared in national publications. Martha is best known for her ethereal landscape paintings. She is a self-taught artist and has been painting for over twenty years.

Her work is in permanent collections of corporations including Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) Wealth Management and many private patrons.  She is the recipient of an Artist Residency at the Nantucket School of the Arts and Design (Nantucket, MA 2016), Ginestrelle Studios (Assisi, Italy 2015) and the Torpedo Factory Arts Center (Alexandria, VA 2013).

Through distribution channels, Martha’s work has appeared in movie/tv sets including House of Cards(Netflix), Being Mary Jane (BET), House Hunters Renovations (HGTV) and Homeland (Showtime).  Selected reproductions of her work are sold through Pottery Barn, Front Gate, William-Sonoma Home and other retail boutiques nationwide.

She is an art speaker and taught an intellectual property course at Stanford University.  She has a degree in Journalism from University of South Carolina and received an Executive Certificate for Intellectual Property Negotiation from Harvard.

Her first gallery is located in Potomac, Maryland where she annually curates exhibitions of local artist along with her own work.  Gallery at the Wharf is her newest location. Martha’s work is displayed in the gallery and refreshed monthly.
